The movement to tear down systemic racism is the biggest I’ve seen or read about. It is tremendous to be living in a time where people are rising up and letting their voices be heard. In a modern civilization, it is atrocious to see men and women being slain because of the color of their skin or simply fighting for equality. We all have a voice, we all have stories to share. I am proud to be a black woman, and I will continue being unapologetically black.

There are thousands of resources to educate ourselves oN ways to make our home better. Visit the Black Lives Matter website to see the important resources needed during this time. Black Lives Matter movement is most importantly a rallying cry to put an end to the unfair treatment of all people across the globe. It is most certainly impacting anyone who has been criminalized and shunned for what color their skin is or geographical location. Stay woke and stay safe.

One of the easiest yet detailed articles I’ve read is by Ta-Nehisi Coates, A Case for Reparations. It is ideal in teaching us how many black Americans have been crippled by systemic racism.
